Activities:
Decorate a Yule log to

Place fruits, nuts and berries among the

bounty you hope for in the coming year.
Customs:
Many people place
candles and
lights throughout their homes
as an act of sympathetic
magick, to draw the Sun back
to the earth. This pagan
custom was the predecessor to
the modern practice of stringing
Christmas lights.
The Druids were the
first to decorate
evergreen trees, holding them to be sacred.
Celtic Druids would adorn the trees with
symbols of all of the fruits they hoped to
reap in the coming year.
The Druids harvested
and hung
mistletoe long before the rest of
us!
They believed that arguments could
be
put to rest by meeting under the mistletoe
and that if a couple were to kiss under
the
mistletoe, they were sure to marry.
May love and light be yours!
